STRIKER CALLED
2015-06-25 Vaal 4 : A Million Dreams wins
When Piere Strydom calls for a ride, we know that the horse has a big chance and we have no hesitation in confirming the ride with him. Piere Strydom called us for the ride on A Million Dreams for Vaal Turf on Thursday 25th June, over 1100m. Piere had ridden the filly 2 runs back when she was severely bumped in the race and returned home with a swollen and sore stifle. We took our time treating her and she was not fully wound up on her return to the course some 2 months later. As usual, Piere watches races and what he saw made him immediately confirm the ride for today. The daughter of Jay Peg will get further but has plenty of speed. A Million Dreams was bred by Ken Truter and was later purchased at the CTS Ready to Run Sale by the LGRS team, after having been prepped and consigned to the sale by effervescent Jane Thomas. Our thanks and congratulations to Owner Mario Ferreira and to Des Gonsalves who manages Mario’ s string and keeps us on our toes. A Million Dreams will be aimed at the Sophomore on Vaal Sand at end of September and then at the CTS Ready to Run Cup.
