WISHFUL HEART : 5yr old gelding by Carpocrates (USA) out of Linsumi by Linney Head (USA)

It’s difficult enough to win any race, let alone 2 on a day and when we urged Mario Ferreira and Des Gonsalves to come out to the Vaal on Thursday 20th August.. the pressure was on! Our fantastic team had done their jobs to perfection and could do no more once we had put the maestro Piere Strydom up in the parade ring. The ride on WISHFUL HEART was nothing but a display of balance and perfect timing. Then came A MILLION DREAMS who was guided to victory in typical “Striker style” to land the double – no fuss, no bother. Our thanks to Mario Ferreira and to racing manager Des Gonsalves for their support of the yard. Thanks to Striker (and a few sharpies later), we got some sleep that night….
