2015-09-17 EASY STREET won well on her sand debut on Thursday notching up her second career win. Jockey Deon Sampson has looked after this filly faithfully at her home gallops and at the races and was never going to panic when 2 or so lengths off the early pace. Timing his run to perfection, Deon picked up the 4 year old daughter of Brave Tin Soldier in the final 400m to leave the field flat footed in the run to the line. Easy Street was bred by multiple champion breeders Summerhill Stud and is out of Dhlala by Shamardal. She will now be aimed at next week’s listed Banyana Handicap on SAP’s Supreme Cup Day over the same course and distance.
